Steve Cragg: co-founder Fit50
My purpose is to be of help to men and women at mid-life who may find themselves slightly stuck by sharing my own personal journey so far (both up and down) and questing with them, hoping that it may, in some small way, help them to see where they are and why they are there, journeying with them until they too hopefully navigate themselves through towards a new fresh, vital, more wholesome way of being.
My own journey has been typical of many high-energy, goal-oriented, Type A personalities. 40 years of pushing too hard for ‘outer’ success, in almost everything I put my mind to, left me both blessed in many (outer) areas of my life but also struggling in so many others (inner) as well. Having played a ‘winning’ 1st-half game of all-out-attack in the world of business, I found myself become anxious and depressed when I realised that game-plan had finally run it’s course. My life required changing and I had no idea how to move forward. How to let go of control. How to just be at peace. Enjoy life. Feel. Be happy. I was stuck. It took 8 years of struggle and pain (both received and caused) until only recently have I finally got a glimpse of my True South, my 2nd-half game-plan and felt the possible new-life emerge.
My passion is to share my own journey of mid-life with others who are looking to also find a way of being more loving, more peaceful, more powerful, more impactful and more inspired. I am fully intentional about building a global community of Fit50’s through creating and curating experiences, escapes, events and retreats in some of the world’s most beautiful outdoor locations – bringing like-minded Fit50’s together, who are also questing for their own growth and development, around Body work, Mindfulness, Inner Soul work, physical activities, feasts of delicious food and wine, music and dance.
I am 57 years old, living in Cape Town, South Africa. I have been married for 25 years to Jen, with whom we have 4 kids – Ben 22, Hannah 20 and identical 16 year-old twin girls, Honor and Miele.
