Hey I’m Frank, an Executive and Life Coach. I specialize in helping men and women deal with change and to develop their emotional aspect and intelligence (self-awareness, self-regulation, self-motivation, empathy and people skills). The goal? Putting together a plan to live and thrive, not to just exist. Why? Because Life is good and is to be lived to the full.
My definition of success is “to see others succeed”. I am a people person and I am passionate about assisting people to becoming better versions of themselves. I am able to assess individuals and then guide them in the right direction. What gets my blood pressure up, besides my hypertension, is when the age of 50+ is mentioned, that retirement is the only association. I need to go on a passionate rant here. When we reach 50 we are better prepared to take on the next 30 + years of our lives. It is not the time of giving up, it is the time of getting started. Your first 50 counted more than you know and the next 30 will count more than you can imagine. Come on let’s do this!!
In 1997 I started an NGO called the Thembalistsha Foundation in South Africa, that specializes in Healthcare, Education and Training. Initially with the help of dedicated volunteers and later gifted staff, we were able to build a formidable organization that today employs over a 100 staff and has impacted the lives of thousands of South Africans. We have offices in the USA, UK and SA. I also spent a number of years serving as a pastor in the local church.
Transformational leadership is a passion of mine, truly influencing empowering others to be all that they were created to be. Along side my passion for leadership is coaching, guiding people to discover the power and potential that is in them. I have had the privilege of coaching and mentoring hundreds upon hundreds of people.
I suffer from PTSD from my compulsory service years in the South African Police Force (now known as services). In addition I live with the debilitating condition of depression. Both of these have taught me to see life differently. Being open-minded, compassionate, accepting, understanding, forgiving, patient and non-judgemental. Through the right regimen of diet, exercise, therapy, and medication I am able to live a full enjoyable and meaningful life.
I have succeeded and I have also failed. I am far from perfect and I am comfortable with myself and my shadow-self. This is as a result of having worked on my self-awareness and continue to do so. It has removed barriers, limitations and past baggage from my life and journey. I have been the creator and author of what has got me to my current state of being and place in life. However, the most exciting thing is, I am now creating and writing my future state of being, with way more experience, life lessons and scars. That is freaking amazing!!! I got excited all over again just writing that.
I am father to three amazing young people, Francis 22, Grace 21, and Stuart 18.
